The Uncapsize Perspective

(Based on the capsize recovery method for small sailboats)

  • A Simple Math problem where, I help W=women solve X, (the problem) by determining Y, (your purpose), to end with Z, (the solution) and recovery of U (you).
  1. Acknowledge and accept the problem, the situation, the challenge. X Marks the spot. You are here.
  2. Swiftly choose to sink or swim. Give up or go forward.
  3. Collect everything and anything within your reach.
  4. Put on your PFD. (Personal Floatation Device OR your Purpose for Doing)
  5. Accrue your Crew.  Allow good people in your lifeboat.
  6. Grab and toss lines you read in print or know in audio to pull you up.
  7. Balance and lean on the centerboard. Too much or too little, leaves you off the middle.
  8. Jump back in the action, the back of the boat.
  9. Observe the telltales on the sails for wind to move your forward.
  10. Just bail out the jetsam. Get rid of the junk, people, places and things threatening to sink you.
  11. Use your TILLER (Things I LOVE, LEARN, EMBRACE and REJOICE) to TACK (change your direction with thinking, action, commitment and kedging).
  12. Red, Right Return to your Homeport and evaluate what matters most.
  13. Blahg about it! Log in and write about your journey in your boat log and happy gratitude’s journal.

I go so much more in depth with these motions, so stay on board as I continue to share how I UNCAPSIZE my daily experiences in my BLAHG based on my simple change in perspective.
